All ordinances of the City of Paola shall be in full force and effect in and over all the parks and public grounds of the City whether such parks and public grounds are situated within the City or are located beyond the boundaries of the City.

It shall be unlawful to build any fire within any park or public grounds except within stoves, ovens, furnaces or other places provided for that purpose and except organized non-profit groups as permitted by special request. It shall be unlawful for any person, after having kindled and started a fire, to leave the vicinity thereof, until the same is extinguished. Any person starting any fire shall be responsible for any damage caused thereby.

It shall be unlawful for any person to injure, damage or remove any tree, shrub, flower or other public property located within any of the public parks of the City.

It shall be unlawful to drive or park any vehicle within the foregoing parks and public grounds contrary to any signs or other directions established and posted by the City.

It shall be unlawful for any person, except for policemen, firefighters, and necessary ambulance attendants and medical personnel on official duties, to loiter, idle, wander, stroll, play, drive or ride upon or over any of the public parks in the City of Paola, between the hours of 12:00 Midnight and 5:00 A.M. of each day, provided however that these restrictions shall not apply to camping activities in the campground area at Lake Miola.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this Article shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined in any sum not exceeding one hundred dollars ($100.00), or be imprisoned not to exceed thirty (30) days, or be both so fined and imprisoned.
